I had heard a lot about Mydesigns and how it makes it easy for Etsy sellers to sell their creative stuff.
The fact that it promised to streamline the entire process of product design, listing, and order fulfilment, took my attention.
Before that, I was pretty much certain to go with Printify.
I did some research finally and here’s what I discovered about the two.
Mydesigns
MyDesigns.io is designed to facilitate the creation, management, and sale of custom print-on-demand and digital products, particularly tailored for Etsy sellers.
It streamlines the entire process of product design, listing, and order fulfillment, making it accessible for both beginners and experienced sellers.
You can create unique designs using the built-in Canvas Editor or upload pre-made designs from external software like Adobe Illustrator or Canva. The platform supports various file formats including PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG, and ZIP.
MyDesigns allows sellers to connect their Etsy shops directly to the platform. This enables users to create draft listings that include optimized titles, descriptions, tags, and mockups, facilitating a smoother publishing process.
The platform is also equipped with features for bulk publishing and mockup generation.
For people who want to sell digital products, MyDesigns helps to generate and publish digital listings with ease.
Printify
Printify is more popular of the two.
What sets it apart from other print-on-demand platforms is its extensive network of print providers worldwide.
This allows its users to choose from a wide range of options, enabling them to find the most cost-effective printing solution for their needs.
Another key benefit of Printify’s network is its ability to offer expedited shipping options.
Its print providers are located strategically worldwide, which means quicker order fulfilment and delivery.
And this is precisely the reason why Printify scores better on customer satisfaction.
Both the platforms offer ample integration options though.
Whether you have a store on Etsy or Shopify, you can connect it seamlessly with Printify.

Printify vs Mydesigns – Pricing
Printify pricing is simple. Anyone can easily understand what comes at what price. They have 3 plans as listed below:
Plan | Price | Features |
---|---|---|
Free | Free | Basic mockup generator, unlimited monthly orders, up to 5 stores |
Premium | $29/month | Advanced mockup generator, unlimited monthly orders, up to 10 stores, brand removal |
Enterprise | Custom | Customized features, dedicated account manager |
Like Printify, Mydesigns also offers a free plan. The other two plans Pro and Pro Plus are priced at $29.99 & $99.99 per month.
Besides other features, the Pro and the Pro plus give you more cloud storage and credits. You get 600 credits with Pro and 2000 credits with Plus plan.
While the Pro plan gives you 100 GB storage, Plus offers 1000 GB cloud storage.
Printify vs Mydesigns – Products, Design Flexibility, Order Fulfilment
Take a look at how the two services stack up on this front.
Product Catalog
Printify wins this by a margin.
It offers an extensive catalog with over 950 products available for customization, including apparel, home goods, and accessories.
This means you can select products based on your budget, and production location which also expedites the delivery times for certain customers.
MyDesigns does not match the extensive range found in Printify. It needs to expand its product portfolio.
Design Flexibility
Printify features a robust Product Creator tool that allows you to easily upload designs, switch colors, and preview final products in high-quality 3D images.
Printify also integrates with Shutterstock, which gives you access to a vast library of images for your designs.
Even MyDesigns offers comprehensive design tools that are equally user-friendly. You won’t really come across any issues in creating mockups and final designs.
Order Fulfillment
Printify scores here too.
It has a network of over 90 print providers across more than 110 printing factories.
The best part is that most of these facilities support printing methods like cut & sew and sublimation.
MyDesigns offers automated order fulfilment as well but focuses on digital asset management alongside print-on-demand services.
You can also publish products in bulk and create custom mockups, which streamlines the selling process on platforms like Etsy.
Conclusion
Printify’s wide range of product, fulfilment options and better delivery times are precisely the reasons why I finally went with it over MyDesigns.
My decision also has to do with my cautious approach as I always wanted a reliable service provider over someone which still has to cover a few miles before gaining customers’ trust.
